DIGITAL DONATIONS FOR SCHOOLS

DIGITAL DONATIONS FOR SCHOOLS

After watching a recent news report on lockdown home-schooling, some of the the ilab’s customers were compelled to contact them regarding unwanted and broken iPads lying around, that were no longer being used.  This gave the ilab the idea of collecting them on behalf of the local community and repairing them free of charge before distributing them to local schools.

The ilab’s Store Manager, Chris Stirland said “Most of our team have young families so we understand the pressure on parents who are currently home-schooling.  We saw this as a small way in which we could do our bit”.

The first donations have already been distributed to some local schools including Sticklepath Community School who were blown away at the offer. The headteacher Mr Blunt said “Thank you so much, these devices will go straight out to the families that have no access to learning at home. We are so very grateful for this donation from the local community and the show of support from a local business”.

If you have an iPad or tablet that you would like to donate for schools, please contact the ilab on 01271 323036 or store@theilab.co.uk.
